Safety is our core value
LPG Safety Compliance is not only our commitment to all employees, partners, and customers, but it is also embedded in our core values, guiding our performance and motivating our pursuit of leadership in the LPG industry.
In addition to adhering strictly to LPG safety standards set by Shell and Government agencies, we organize periodic LPG safety training seminars to equip our partners and customers with knowledge and awareness associated with LPG safety.
At NHIEN LIEU XANH, we’ve adopted a 3Ps Safety Culture and a ZERO Accident framework to ensure our focus on both Personal Safety and Process Safety. Our adherence to these stringent safety measures has resulted in ZERO ACCIDENTS since the inception of the company in 2010.
Hazardous and extremely flammable LPG is a colorless, odorless, and non-corrosive liquid (hydrocarbon fuel) that readily evaporates into a gas. Odourants, such as ethyl mercaptan, are added to help detect gas leakage. |
Three factors are required in proper combination for fire and explosive combustion to take place:

Precautions

Important! To make sure the cylinder is safe to use, you should check its tested date. The tested date is printed on the handle: TESTED month - year. For example, the label printed: TESTED 6 - 2012, which means this cylinder is tested in June 2012 and can be used within 5 years to June 2017. After that time, this cylinder is no longer safe to use and is required to be reinspected. |
Be prepared

Liquid when stored in cylinder under high pressure and vapor under normal outside conditions. | Odor | Addictives are added to create odorants | |
---|---|---|---|
Boiling point | Under -1°C | Ignition temperature | Under -40°C |
Vapor Pressure | About 790 kPa at 40°C | Lower explosive limit | 1.8% in the air |
Density | About 0.55 kPa at 15°C | Under explosive limit | 10% in the air |
Vapor density | About 1.85 at 15°C | Autoignition temperature | Higher than 410°C |

Consultancy, Design & Installation
Contact NHIEN LIEU XANH before or during the planning and design process, especially for hotels, schools, hospitals, and complex projects, to avail the benefits of private investment consultancy. If necessary, our Industrial LPG System consultation will serve as a foundation for active collaboration with relevant contractors (Construction, M&E, LPG terminal equipment supply, etc.) to find suitable solutions for different types of LPG systems or industrial tanks.
Here’s a breakdown of the suitable methods:
- Overal Hazard identification & Risk assessment for LPG storage, especially area within allowed Safety radius;
- Ensure electrical equipment, synchronous accessories, and construction methods align with Area 0, I, II (Explosion-proof), or normal standards;
- Optimize installation investment costs while maintaining technical aspects such as pressure (Psi, Mpa, Bar…), flow rate (Kw, Kcal, Btu…), and reducing heat loss for fuel savings;
- Ensure LPG pipelines are entirely visible or implement safe methods to eliminate potential LPG accumulation due to leaks;
- Comply with Certificate of Approval and Acceptance of Fire Protection.
Commercial LPG Cylinder System
Advantages:
- Small safety radius (maximum 03m) while complying with fire prevention and fighting regulations.
- Ideal for urban areas needing maximum space utilization for commercial purposes.
- Maximizes investment cost efficiency with fast and flexible construction.
- Offers flexible and especially urgent delivery in urban areas.
Disadvantages:
- Requires multiple tank changes and frequent LPG connections.
Industrial LPG Tank System
Advantages:
- Suited for factories with a large area and a monthly LPG consumption demand of approximately 20Mt or more;
- Offers the option of installing underground LPG tanks to meet landscape requirements;
- Reduces multiple deliveries (from 10Mt – 25Mt/trip) for optimized operational costs.
Disadvantages:
- Safety radius from fire source must be at least 07m as per fire prevention regulations;
- LPG filling and operation processes demand stricter safety procedures, particularly against liquid spillage;
- Requires a longer time for design, legal completion, and construction (minimum 75 days).
In addition to quality and safety requirements, NHIEN LIEU XANH engineering provides added value through:
- Expert engineers trained in the LPG industry;
- Close collaboration with contractors for MEP system proposals aligning with project concept, architecture, and Safety regulations;
- Adherence to TCVN, QCVN, Shell, NFPA standards, ensuring fire prevention compliance;
- Equipment quality commitment, comprehensive maintenance for prolonged LPG System life;
- Technical and Safety solutions for optimized resource use and reduced operating costs.
